I'm Mahdi — a video editor and colourist based between Cairo and Dubai. For over 8 years I've been translating raw footage into cinematic narratives for brands, record labels, broadcasters, and independent filmmakers across the Middle East and beyond.

My approach blends narrative sensitivity with technical precision. Every frame is intentional; every grade serves the story. Whether it's a 30-second ad or a feature documentary, I obsess over the details that make audiences feel something.

Everything you need to know before we work together
Turnaround depends on project scope. Short-form reels (under 3 min) take 3–5 business days. Commercials and music videos typically require 7–10 days. Feature-length documentaries or complex multi-deliverable projects are scoped individually — I'll give you a firm timeline in the brief stage. Rush delivery is available for an additional fee.
Each package includes a defined number of revision rounds (see Pricing above). A "revision round" covers a consolidated set of notes — I ask that all feedback for a round be collected in one document or timestamp sheet. Additional rounds beyond the included amount are billed at $75/hr. I find that clear briefs at the start dramatically reduce revision cycles.
I deliver in whatever format your platform or broadcast standard requires. Common deliverables include H.264/H.265 MP4 for digital and social, ProRes 4444 or DNxHR for broadcast masters, DCP for festival/cinema projection, and vertical 9:16 exports for Reels/TikTok. I'll confirm format specs during onboarding.
For new clients, I require a 50% deposit before work begins, with the remaining 50% due upon final delivery. Long-term retainer clients move to net-15 monthly invoicing after the first two projects. I accept bank transfer, Wise, PayPal, and major cards. Final files are shared after payment is cleared.
Absolutely — the majority of my clients are fully remote across the UK, UAE, USA, and MENA region. I use Frame.io for video review and timestamped comments, Notion for project tracking, and WeTransfer/Google Drive for file exchange. I operate on GMT+2 (Cairo) but schedule review calls to accommodate your time zone. Collaboration feels seamless regardless of geography.
